404,951. Capsules for bottles. SUTAX, Ltd., and SUTGLIFFE, T., 10, Charterhouse Street, Holborn Circus, London. June 14, 1932, No. 34405/33. Divided on 403,627. [Class 125 (iii).] A jar &c. 1 has vanes 2 at the mouth thereof which co-operate with a compressible packing 6 in the skirt 4 of a capsule 3 to form a seal. The skirt 4 may be deflected inwardly at 7 just below the zone of the vanes, to compress the packing. A recess 12 may be provided opposite the zone 7. The cap may be formed from compressible material and the skirt may be reinforced by a band of tin-plate. The vanes may be situated on the interior of the neck for co-operation with an internal stopper of similar construction. Specification 255,632, [Class 125 (iii), Stoppers &c.], is referred to.
