Abstract

697,583. Closure caps. SAFETY PRECISIONS (G.B.), Ltd. Dec. 10, 1951, No. 28845/51. Class 125(iii) A container 1 has a narrowed neck 3 which acts as an abutment surface for presscap 2 to assist in deformation of the dome when pressure is applied to the outer edge of the cap. In a modification (Fig. 4) the container 13 has an abutment surface 11 attached thereto by clips 14 passing through holes 15 in a horizbntal shoulder 16. In another modification (Fig. 6) a container 25 has a reduced neck 26 and a retaining member with legs 28 to prevent loss of cap. An annular washer 31 forms a seal between cap 30 and the neck 26. In a further modification (Fig. 9) the loop 46 of the cap retaining member supports a platform 51 which raises and ejects the contents of the container when cap and retaining member are pulled upwardly.
