Abstract

241,115. Wade & Son, Ltd., G., and Wade, G. A. May 4, 1925. Bottles, jars, and like vessels, non-refillable. - For securing non-refillable stoppers to bottles and similar receptacles a spring metal ring b approximately V - shape in transverse section and split so as to be discontinuous is applied to the stopper so as to engage a groove a<1> therein. The stopper and ring are then slipped into a bottle neck and the ring snaps into a corresponding groove c<1> in the bottle neck preventing removal. The stopper is beaded on to a washer g. The ring may be used with stoppers of the type described in Specification 236,093. The ring could similarly be used with a type of stopper fitting over the neck of the bottle.
