462,277. Stoppers for bottles. CASABLANCAS, F. Aug. 27, 1936, No. 23551. Convention date, Aug. 30,1935. [Class 125 (iii)] A stopper for a bottle &c. comprises a cap 10 of metal &c. and an elastic member 12 which has a number of depending lugs 13. An eccentric 19 is disposed above the cap which forces it down when the lever 20 is turned downwardly so that the lugs are locked into engagement with the bead on the bottleneck. A n elastic washer 24 completes the seal. The member 12 is connected to the lever by a U-shaped member 17.
