470,720. Stoppers for bottles, jars, &c. FREEMAN, W. S. May 18, 1936, No. 14001. [Class 125 (iii)] A plug stopper formed with a cover skirt portion C which may be folded down over the outside of the bottle neck 2 is formed exteriorly with a plurality of annular grooves and the plug A is made hollow to permit distention when the skirt is stretched over the bottle neck thereby increasing the sealing effect of the annular grooves. In the sealing position the flange D engages under the flange 3 on the neck of the bottle.
