Abstract

527,109. Stoppers for bottles. FREEMAN, W. S. March 31, 1939, No. 10129. [Classes 125 (i) and 125 (iii)] A dropper stopper for removing a quantity of liquid from a bottle or other container is formed as one unit of compressible resilient material. The stopper has a plug portion 1 with deformable serrations 2 on its periphery; it has a head 3 and a bulb 5 enclosing a central passage 6 constricted at its lower end 7. The head 3 may be recessed to fit over the rim of the bottle neck, and it may have a skirt permanently dependent or adapted to be turned down over the bottle neck. Various forms of serrations or ribs formed on the plug or skirt portions are described The plug portion may be tapered or bulbous and the stopper may be associated with a screw-on cap.
