Abstract

676,072. Compound bottles. CROSSE & BLACKWELL CO. Nov. 16, 1950 [Aug. 16, 1950], No. 28090/50. Class 125(i) A compound bottle comprises an outer bottle 1 having a screw top 4 and an inner bottle 5 fitting in its neck. The inner bottle 5 has a head 7 spaced from its top with a washer 8 sprung into a groove 10 below it which rests on the mouth 9 of the outer bottle. A cap 14 screws over and seals both bottles. A groove 12 defines a rim 13 at the top of the inner bottle 5 which may have been sealed prior to its assembly in the outer bottle. In use the outer bottle can be filled with liquid which is prevented by the washer 8 and rim 7 from wetting the top part of the inner container, which can thus be removed and replaced easily.
