Abstract

606,457. Bottles and jars. BROCK, C. L. L. C. Jan. 15, 1946, No. 1322. [Classes 66 and 125(i)] In a bottle or jar provided with a partition 6 to define a separate compartment 5 to receive a spoon 8, thermometer, or other instrument, the spoon is carried by a segment 7 which fits into a cut-away part of the neck 2 of the container so as to be held in place by the cover 3. As shown, the cover is screw-threaded and the segment has portions of threads to complete those on the neck. The partition 6 may extend only part of the way down the container, or the separate compartment may be formed by a wall externally of the container proper.
