Abstract

507,702. Bottle closures. MALLINCKRODT CHEMICAL WORKS. May 24, 1938, No. 15501. Convention date, June 4, 1937. [Class 125 (iii)] A closure for a bottle or the like containing a corrosive liquid comprises a flat disc 19, e.g, of glass in contact with the bottle top which is ground flat and an annular washer 21 pressed downwardly on to the disc 19 by the outer screw cap 25. The washer 21 is preferably formed of gum rubber and serves after being screwed down to secure the glass disc 19 to the cap 25.
