Stoppers, bayonet-joint. -Stoppers for bottles and like receptacles, having interrupted screw surfaces on the stopper engaging corresponding interrupted screw surfaces on the bottle neck have a packing washer arranged in an annular recess in the flange d of the closure. The invention may be applied to caps for petrol cans, in which case the annular recess is formed on the inside face of the closure
