[Class 80 (ii)7 To enable the belt 8 to slackened when changing its position on stepped driving and driven pulleys the driving pulley 7 an( the driving motor are mounted on annular plate 4 pivoted adjacent its periphery on a pin 10 fixec to a frame 1. The plate is guided and secured in adjusted position by bolt and slots 15, 14, and is turned about the pin 10 by a lever 12 pivoted at 13 or the frame 1. A fixed stop 17 on the frame 1 may be provided for the plate 4. The driven pulley 9 may be mounted in a bracket 23 which may be adjusted on the frame 1 by an adjusting screw 25. The bracket 23 may be arranged to carry any one of a series of different stepped pulleys 9.
