[Class 38 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXV] In the method of regulating a shunt polyphase commutator motor as in the parent Specification, the induction regulator wound for two pole numbers is constructed so that the induced voltages are unequal in magnitude, the ratio being approximately 3 or 4 to 1. Further features reside in injecting into the rotor circuit an unvarying voltage as by transformer 8, Fig. 4. The unequal windings 9, 10 can be connected in series with each other, or one can be supplied from across the transformer 8. The secondary windings of the regulator can be combined into a single as shown in Fig. 6.
