Abstract
538,630. Wireless receiving apparatus. KRAMOLIN, L. L. DE. Feb. 23, 1940, No. 3428. Convention date, Feb. 25, 1939. Addition to 510,862. [Class 40 (v)] [Also in Group XXXV] Tuning or selectivity control is effected by an inductance which is varied by an applied current or voltage which is amplified by a valve used in the apparatus for a different purpose, the regulating means being connected in the cathode lead. The Figure shows an arrangement in which automatic tuning correction is effected by a magnet in the cathode lead of the output valve VI. The control is by an error detector valve 1 which controls the bias applied to the valve V1. The signals are applied through condenser C3 and volume control is effected by the contact S. Selectivity control may control the received band width in any known manner and may be in accordance with the noise level e.g. by filtering the 9-10 Kc./sec. resonance from the detector circuit.
