Abstract

537,225. Alloys. STEVENS, A. H. (American Brass Co.). Dec. 1, 1939, No. 31276. [Class 82 (i)] Copper alloys contain 0.1-20 per cent. of tin and 0.01-1 per cent. of boron, with or without any of the following : up to 45 per cent. of zinc, up to 5 per cent. of lead, up to 10 per cent. of manganese, up to 3 per cent. of magnesium, up to 10 per cent. of iron, up to 10 per cent. of titanium, up to 10 per cent. of vanadium, and up to 10 per cent. of zirconium, the copper content being always at least 50 per cent. In making the alloy, the boron may be added as such or as a copper-boron alloy, or by the methods described in Specification 536,893. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 461,350, [Group XXII]
