Abstract

Aluminium alloys containing 80 per cent or more of aluminium contain also 1-8 per cent of magnesium 0,5-6 per cent of zinc and 0,01-2 per cent of calcium. The alloys may also contain other elements such as manganese and nickel up to 1 per cent and copper and silicon up to 2 per cent, the total amount of such additional elements being not more than 3 per cent. Up to 2 per cent of iron may also be present.
