Abstract
526.033. Alloys. TENNANT, W. J. (Consolidated Mining & Smelting Co. of Canada, Ltd.). March 3, 1939. No. 7049. Drawings to Specification. [Class 82 (i)] An alloy consists of at least 30 per cent. of manganese containing not more than a total of 1 per cent. and preferably less than 0.3 per cent. of iron, carbon, aluminium, and silicon as impurities. the balance of the alloy being copper, or copper and nickel. A specific example consists of 30 per cent. copper, 20 per cent. of nickel, and 50 per cent. of manganese of the above purity. The manganese may be obtained by distillation or electrolysis. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 526,093.
