Abstract
A zinc-base die-casting alloy is free from magnesium and contains 2-10 per cent of aluminium, and over 2 and up to 6 per cent of copper, the balance being zinc of high purity containing at least 99,98 per cent and preferably over 99,99 per cent of zinc. The tin content of the zinc should be not more than 0,001 per cent, and the lead and cadmium together not more than 0,01 per cent. Specifications 252,020, [Class 82 (i), Metals, Extracting &c.], and 376,988 are referred to.
