Abstract
535,277. Thermionic valves. TAYLOR, G. H. Feb. 8, 1940, No. 2463. [Class 39 (i)] A thermionic valve is provided with an equipotential cathode having two leads brought out of the envelope to separate connections, one of which is near the anode lead and one near the control grid lead. The figure shows a pentode with a cathode c, one lead c1, being brought out at the top of the valve along with the control grid lead gc and the other c2 through the the pinch along with the anode lead a and the screen and suppressor grid leads gs, gp. The valve may be covered with a metal coating m which is connected to an earth screen. Specification 525,378 is referred to. 535,313. Impedance networks. HAZELTINE CORPORATION. [Class 40 (iii)] A band-pass filter, e.g. for a sound and television receiver, comprising two tuned circuits coupled together is tuned without altering the band-width by connecting up in turn auxiliary coupling members 21a, 22a, 21b, 22b and c which are preferably in shunt to the main circuits. The filter shown may be ganged to a similar filter in the radiofrequency amplifier.
