[Class 126] In an inclined gas fire according to the parent Specification cobbles or like refractory material simulating coal or coke, e.g., interspersed pieces of insulating material such as fireclay and of heat conducting material such as carborundum, are rested on the refractory rods. A luminous burner connected to but controlled independently of the main burner may be introduced at the bottom of the combustion chamber to give a flaming effect.
