527,425. Calcium carbonate magnesium hydroxide. TRIGGS, W. W. (Standard Lime & Stone Co.). Feb. 14, 1939, No. 4793. [Class 1 (iii)] Magnesian limestone is treated to produce calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide by calcining it to produce a soft burned calcium oxide component, slaking while hot with sufficient excess of water to produce a " milk," violently agitating the diluted milk till the calcium hydroxide has passed into solution, separating the magnesium hydroxide, treating the clear solution of calcium hydroxide with carbon dioxide and separating the calcium carbonate produced.
