[Class 40 (iii)] The mean intensity of the scanning ray, or the contrast of the reproduced image, or the amplitude of the lower frequencies of the associated sound, are increased as the magnification of the part of the image reproduced is increased by adjusting the amplitudes of the scanning deflections, as described in the parent Specification. To control the brightness, a member, which changes the voltage on either the modulating electrode or the final anode of the reproducing cathode-ray tube, is ganged with the magnification control.
