Abstract
500,809. Television. GENERAL ELEC, TRIC CO., Ltd., and POPERWELL, F. Sept. 6, 1937, No. 24295. [Class 40 (iii)] The angular velocity, with which a cathode-ray is deflected, is so varied that the image can occupy the effective part 2 of the screen 1 or extend far beyond it. This is done by varying a resist. ance in the time-base circuit. The position of the undeflected beam is also varied to bring any part 3 of the picture to the centre of the screen. The size of the scanning spot is varied concurrently with the angular velocity of the ray. Specifications 341,049, 357,143, and 479,149 are referred to.
