519,054. Closed solid-fuel stoves; waterboilers; grates. NIE, J. DE, and KNOL, H. D. M. Nov. 30, 1938, No. 34832. [Class 126] [Also in Group XIII] In a combined stove and boiler, the vertical downwardly narrowing combustion chamber 9 is confined at both sides by fiat water-containers 1, 2 (not shown) at the front by a grate comprising solid bars 11 arranged stepwise, and at the rear by water pipes 12 which are also arranged stepwise and are connected at the two sides to the .watercontainers and interconnected centrally by vertical pipes 13. The uppermost pipe 12 is centrally, connected to a water-collecting tank 7 which forms an upper connection between the lateral containers 1, 2. The side containers 1, 2 are also connected at the rear by containers 3, 16 and at the front by a pipe 6 which is connected to the tank 7 by' pipes, 22. The ,pipes 12 are of isosceles triangular cross-section. Primary air for combustion enters between the bars 11, and secondary through side pipes 18. A damper 20 may be used as a spoil-draught or for cleaning purposes. A baffle 17 is provided below the flue outlet 15.
