518,390. Valve amplifying circuits. MACLARTY, B. N. Aug. 23, 1938, No. 24839. [Class 40 (v)] In a screen-grid or pentode amplifier feed-back means are provided to feed into the control grid circuit a voltage to compensate for the voltage set up on the screen grid due to the inherent reactance of its associated circuit and the input is applied between the control and screen grids. The Figure shows an arrangement in which the input connection to the screen grid includes the condenser 11. Potentials on the screen grid are fed back by condenser 11 and grid resistance 12 to the control grid in anti-phase and appropriate magnitude may be obtained by choice of the impedances 11, 12. Potentials set up on the cathode may, in addition, be compensated by a further condenser between the junction of the impedances 11, 12 and the cathode, Fig. 2 (not shown).
