Abstract

516,611. Centrifugal separators. AKTIEBOLAGET SEPARATOR. July 12, 1938, No. 20630. Convention date, Aug. 5, 1937. [Class 23] The distributor 2 of a centrifugal separator bowl has a number of wings 3 cast integral with it and which form a number of channels for the liquid supplied through radial jets at the bottom of the inlet pipe 1. The wings extend inside the normal liquid level in the distributor, and are machined to fit tightly on the bowl nave 4. The lower part of the wings are advantageously connected to a disc 7 which may have a conical extension 8 to fit the nave and to form the inner wall for the channels. The arrangement is shown used with a disc pack 6 having holes 5 but it may be used with unperforated discs, or in a bowl without a disc pack.
