[Class 23] A clarifier comprising a bowl having peripheral sludge outlets has a disc-pack in the separating space and a second disc-pack extending into the sludge collecting space beyond the inlet for the liquid to be clarified. As shown, the second disc-pack 12 is formed by extending the discs of the pack 9 at an angle.
