[Classes 99(i) and 99 (ii)] In connecting a flexible tube to a pipe a, the metal covering is anchored to the socket d and the rubber lining c has a tapered end f which is pressed by fluid in the pipe against the wall of the socket. The coiled wire covering g is secured by a shouldered collar h which screws on to the coil. Alternatively the covering is a flexible metal tube secured by a bayonet-type joint.
