Abstract

521,622. Pipe couplings. NEWTON SALES CO., Ltd., and WILLCOX, A. L. Nov. 23, 1938, No. 34091. [Class 99 (i)] Means for coupling a hose pipe to a tap comprise a metal tubular member 11, the slotted larger end of which contains a rubber sleeve 12 which is compressed on to a tap bv the bandclip 13. The hose is secured on the smaller end 16 of the member 11 by claws 14. In a modification the tube 19, Fig. 3, extends partly into the rubber sleeve 18, the sleeve and hose being secured to the tube by claws 20, 21 respectively.
