401,318. Pipe joints. ELLIOTT, J. H., and JACK, I. D., 120, Oxford Street, Glasgow. May 5, 1932, No. 12962. [Class 99 (i).] A resilient connection between rigid tubes comprises a sleeve C and a flexible packing device interposed at each end of the sleeve between the latter and the tubes A, B, each device comprising an inner tubular part 2 which grips the tube, an outer tubular part 3 which is pressed against the sleeve by an expander F, and a connecting part 4. The parts 2, 3 may extend in the same direction or in opposite directions from the part 4. Specifications 311,032, [Class 99 (i), Pipes and tubes, Joints &c. for], and 387, 687, are referred to.
