Joints comprising external sleeves.-The ring c shrunk over the pipe ends a, b which are to be jointed is provided with an annular shoulder f to ensure the correct location of the shrunk ring with regard to the pipe ends. Such joints may also be employed in connection with elbow pieces connecting two pipe lines not in alignment.
