541,320. Hose couplings. PARKER, A. LA R. Dec. 3, 1940, No. 17199. [Class 99 (i)] An end fitting connected to a metal hose by solder comprises a sleeve 17 spaced from the hose to permit flexure, the solder being restricted to a region 22a at the inner end of the hose. The sleeve has an inward flange 19 connected to the coupling member 14 by the solder bond or the parts 17, 14 may be integral. The solder fills the last corrugation of the hose lining 11 and covers the end of the hose covering 13.
