[Class 36] Lamp stems or bases are formed by fusing wires or foils of refractory metal into separate pieces of hard glass or quartz glass and subsequently fusing together two or more members so formed. An exhausting tube and filament anchoring wires or a carrier rod for the filament anchors may be fused with the members at the same time as they are fused together or subsequently.
