Abstract

252,381. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Hamner, M. J.). May 22, 1925, [Convention date]. Screens within bulbs.-In gas-filled bulbs of the kind described in Specification 10918/13, rising currents of hot gas are broken up by a deflector 22, preferably of metal, which is composed of a number of sections 23, 24 secured to the stem-press 16 wherein the leading-in wires 14, 15 are sealed. Points 27 formed on the sections may be pressed into the plastic glass immediately after the stem is pressed, a space 29 being left between the sections to permit a part of the hot currents to pass.
