Abstract
211,879. Vello, L. S. May 12, 1922, [Convention date]. Crucibles.-In the process of sealing electric lamp bulbs &c. by applying a ring of fusible glass, as described in Specification 197,693, [Class 39 (ii), Electric lamps, Incandescent], the glass used is fused in a vacuum to remove occluded gases. Apparatus for this purpose comprises a crucible 4<a>, Fig. 2, exhausted directly through a tubular extension 23 of its cover. Sealing-rings 20 of fusible glass are arranged between the crucible and the cover, and the space between these rings may be exhausted.
