Abstract
651,066. Glass. WATT GLUHLAMPENUND ELEKTRIZITATS-AKT.-GES. Sept. 29, 1948. No. 25435. Convention date, July 6, 1940. [Class 56] [Also in Groups XI and XL(a)] In the production of the glass envelope enclosing the electrode system of an incandescent lamp, electronic tube or the like by fusing together a base portion 1 and a bulb portion 6 which together form the closed vessel, the edges of the two portions present an outwardly projecting ridge and they are pressed against one another by reducing the internal pressure in the vessel so formed. The edges are then fused together by burner flames directed on the glass parts above and below the ridge. After superficial fusion the interior of the vessel may be filled by an inert gas. Specification 543,403, [Group XL], is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the subjectmatter of Specification 656,805. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
