Abstract

506,794. Cathode-ray tubes. EHRENBERG, W., and HILL, S. Dec. 1, 1937, No. 33175. [Class 39 (i)] A focusing anode consists of a framework or mesh of fine lines 5 of a substance of high conductivity formed on the inner wall of the tube ; these may consist of liquid gold connected to bands 3, 4 also painted on the wall. The anode is connected by tungsten springs to a ring 6 forming part of the cathode gun. The fluorescent screen 8 has a gold mask 9, in contact with the mesh anode. A coating of black lacquer as described in Specification .500,119 is provided on the outside of the tube. The mesh framework may be of helical form. Specification 415,411 also is referred to.
