501,257. Cooling systems. DAIMLERBENZ AKT.-GES. Aug. 15, 1938, No. 23989. Convention date, Sept. 15, 1937. [Class 64 (iii)] In a cooling system for an internal-combustion engine, the cooling is effected by two coupled circuits. The first circuit contains water under pressure which passes over the engine a through a pipe d to tubes f of a heatexchanger b, to return to the engine via tube c. The second circuit contains water or glycol under normal pressure which is circulated by a pump l through a tube k and a radiator i, via a tube h to flow through the spaces g of the heat-exchanger b, and so cools the water in the primary circuit. The heat-exchanger b may be mounted for protection between the cylinders of a V-engine. The components of the first circuit are constructed or reinforced so as to withstand the working pressure.
