Abstract

An electric insulating composition comprises a mixture of resinous pine wood pitch extracted from pine wood by means of solvent, and an inorganic filler such as quartz, flint, slate, magnesia and alumina. The proportions may be 50 to 60 per cent of filler and the remainder resin. The composition is resistant to oil and is particularly suitable for use in oil-filled equipment.
