Abstract

Bodies of polystyrol or mixtures of polystyrol with other substances are treated so that the surface is partly or wholly matted. The matt surface, which may be produced by brief solvent action with a solvent such as acetone, benzol or a mixture of benzol and benzene or sand blasting, may be in the form of marks such as numbers, letters, hatchings or edges or the matt surface may be partly or wholly coloured or marked by writing.
