Abstract
496,157. Closets. LEHMANN, H., and BOTTCHER, M. Nov. 25, 1937, No. 32507. [Class 26] In a water-closet of the kind in which the bowl is flushed by a combination of a rim flush and a tangential flush in the lower part of the bowl, the bowl and a flushing tank are made in one piece and both the bowl and the hollow rim of the bowl are supplied from the tank. The closet, cast in one piece preferably from a ceramic material, comprises a bowl 5 with a trapped soil pipe 6, a trapped overflow 13, leading into the soil pipe behind and below the trap, and a tank 1 with an outlet 10 below the level of the rim 4 and provided with a known closing valve and leading to a flush pipe 11 which enters the lower portion of the bowl tangentially, and a flush pipe 12 leading to a rim channel 4. The overflow 13 is below the bottom of the tank 1, so that water from the bowl cannot flow back into the tank. An overflow 3 for the tank 1 is provided.
