Abstract

518,061. Sanitary closets. TWYFORDS, Ltd., and BAILEY, E. H. June 22, 1939, No. 18168. [Class 26] In a combined siphonic-cistern and closet-basin in which the cistern is mounted upon a bracket or platform 2, Fig. 1, which is integral with or attached to the rear of the basin, the shorter leg 5 of the siphon does not exceed in length three-quarters of the length of that part of the longer leg 6 which is contained within the siphon and preferably equals two-thirds thereof. The platform 2 is hollow to provide a passage 7, Fig. 2, connecting the siphon with the rim 8 which has a slot 10 in the front and a number of spaced apertures. The basin is shaped to provide a shelf 11 and is fitted with an S- or P-trap the lip of which is formed by a single wall 12.
