440,914. Sanitary closets. ADAMS, S. H., The Crossways, Shenfield, Essex. Nov. 22, 1934, No. 33577. [Class 26] In a closet basin having a slotted hollow rim forming an open trough with a weiredge c covered by a depending prolongation g extending outside and below the weiredge to form a hood or baffle, the space between the weir-edge and the prolongation or the height of the weir varies at different places, e.g. from back to front to determine the relative rates of discharge of flushing water. A hole or holes d for drainage are provided, while the trough may be relatively deep and narrow or broad and shallow and may be formed entirely on the inside of the basin. According to the Provisional Specification, in order to increase the flush at the back or front of the pan or both, a supply may be taken direct from the trough rather than over its weir.
