Abstract
495,670. Hinges. NIXON, A., and LEVINSON, L. Oct. 30, 1937, No. 29696. [Class 65 (ii)] [Also in Group XIV] A folding bracket table or tray for attachment to beds, chairs, &c., or to doors is carried by a double swivel with projecting stop members for retaining the table in the position of use and arranged so that to fold the table it is swung upwardly to a vertical position and then swung laterally in its own plane to a position in which it is concealed behind the bed, chair, door, &c. The table J is fixed to an arm F rotatable in a bearing block H which is itself pivoted, about an axis at right-angles to the arm F, to a bracket A fixed to the bed &c. A projecting member A3 on the bracket retains the arm F horizontal and a socket E<1> takes a metal bracket fixed to the underside of the table to form a stop and steadying device for the table. The projection A<3> also acts as a stop in the folded position. Specifications 18370/09, 23164/09, 213,803, 240,905, [all in Class 52 (iii)], and 342,365, [Group XIV], are referred to.
