Abstract

495,378. Reciprocating motors. WILKINSON SWORD CO., Ltd., and RANDOLPH, H. B. May 7, 1937, No. 13048. [Class 35] [Also in Group XIV] A blade 17 is mounted on pivots 18 on a frame 15, 16 carried by leaf springs 4, 5, adapted to be vibrated by A.C. passed through an electromagnet 11, the natural frequency of the springs and their load being adjusted to that of the A.C. The armature 9 is secured centrally to one of the springs. A movable pin 43 placed between the spring 4 and the casing is used to adjust the period of the springs to the current frequency.
