[Class 31 (ii).] In a hand machine for cutting leather, metal, &c. a blade 16 attached to a casing 2 co-operates with a blade 13 vibrated by the armature of an electromagnet. The handle 1 of the machine is secured to the casing 2 by a yoke 3 pivoted on screws 4 and the vibration is absorbed by rubber buffers R. In a modification, Fig. 6, an electromotor 35 rotates a cam 39 which closes a pivoted blade 41 against the urge of a spring 43. The handle 36 is mounted by a yoke 37 and buffers 38.
