[Class 31 (ii).] In electromagnetically operated cloth shears in which a blade attached to a casing 2 cooperates with a blade 13 vibrated by the armature of an electromagnet, a conical screw 10 adjusts a spring upon which the armature is mounted. To prevent adjustment of the screw 10 tilting the blade 13, the armature carries an extension 11 provided with a spherical projection 14 which engages a recess 12 in the blade 13.
