The spring d<SP>1</SP>, d<SP>2</SP> supporting the armature d of a vehicle dynamo regulator is adjusted by a screw f which is operable within limits by means of a plate g, a catch k engaging holes or notches in the plate to determine a series of positions. The screw is initially adjusted by the manufacturer, and the plate g then fixed to it by a lock nut h, thus allowing the user a limited further adjustment.
