492,332. Condensers. BRYCE, Ltd. Dec. 10, 1937, No. 34214. Convention date, Jan. 21. [Class 37] In condensers having wound electrodes 4, 5 the edges of which overlap those of adjacent units to form a series, the metal foils are perforated as at 18, Fig. 2, between the overlapping portions, to facilitate impregnation. The dielectric material may be interrupted at these points for the same purpose. At the ends the outwardly extending foils may be clamped around a terminal bolt as at 6. The casing 12 of insulating-material may be metal sprayed at its ends and have a metal cover 13 soldered thereto. With an oil immersed condenser an expansion accommodating device connected to an air vent may comprise an oil resistant rubber tube 14 one end of which is closed.
