Abstract
676,707. Electric condensers. BRODRICK, A. H. B. Jan. 10, 1951 [Oct. 17, 1949], No. 26630/49. Class 37. A condenser consists of at least one dielectric plate 10, Figs. 1, 5, e.g. of mica, with metallic electrodes 11 deposited thereon, between insulating plates 13, Fig. 3, having metallic terminal connections 16, and cover-plates 17, Fig. 4, of insulating material, all assembled in a casing 18, Fig. 6, by which the plates are clamped together. The terminal connections preferably consist of a metal strip threaded through a hole 14, Fig. 3, in the insulating plate 13 and bent over the end as shown in Fig. 1. The casing 18 is cut away at 22, and has a notch 21 so that the electrodes are left uncovered at opposite ends and can be scraped away to effect final adjustment of the condenser. The whole is then encased in wax.
