Abstract
639,509. Electric condensers. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL, Ltd. Aug. 9, 1948, No. 20931. Convention date, Aug. 12, 1947. [Class 37] A combination of two or more condensers connected in parallel is characterised in that at least two condensers each comprise a dielectric, the dielectric constant of which as a function of temperature exhibits a pronounced maximum value, each of which maxima lies at a different temperature. In the example shown, two semicircular dielectric sections 2, 3 are coated with metallic electrode surfaces 1, 4 having connections 6, 7 to form a pair of condensers in parallel, the dielectric portions 2, 3 being selected so that their maxima lie in the relationship shown in Fig. 2. Curve 11 represents the over all characteristic of the combination.
